In simple words

Some tumours have their own unique signature. Insulin-producing tumours of the pancreas, for example, can be as small as a grain of rice and invisible on CT — but they carry GLP-1 receptors, which the Exendin-4 tracer is built to find. These studies are arranged case by case after discussion with your treating doctor.

Questions this scan answers

  • I have unexplained low blood sugar attacks — where is the insulinoma?
  • Is there a targeted tracer better suited to my specific tumour type?

The Prismaa difference

Dr. Keyur Mandaliya has hands-on reporting experience with Exendin-4 and Trivehexin studies, which very few centres in the region can say.

Usually recommended for

  • Suspected insulinoma / nesidioblastosis with recurrent hypoglycaemia
  • Selected αvβ6-integrin-expressing tumours
  • Complex cases discussed in a tumour board where standard tracers fell short

How to prepare

  • Protocols differ by tracer — our team will brief you in detail when the scan is scheduled.
  • These tracers are produced to order, so booking usually needs a few days' notice.
